Flowers in the Hands

Three ladies sit in front of their house stringing flower garlands. Their practiced hands tie knot after knot to hold the flowers in place.

In India, flowers everywhere – flowers for temple deities, flowers for the home altar, flowers for funeral rites, flowers for the hair.

Will these flowers be used to mark a celebration, draped around a sacred form or as offerings for the passage of a loved one?

Fresh vibrant colors and perfume.

A few short hours later, withering and decay.

As all life in form –  a reminder of impermanence ….

A quiet mind is all you need.
All else will happen rightly, once your mind is quiet.
As the sun on rising makes the world active, so does self-awareness affect changes in the mind.
In the light of calm and steady self-awareness, inner energies wake up and work miracles
without any effort on your part.
