Lotus Heart

A recent evening sitting by a tank filled with lotus flowers.

The rays of the sun lost behind the evening trees.

All is quiet, except for the cries of peacocks and a few voices softened by the wind.

Right now the power is off, all is dark except for the computer screen.

Next door a bore-well is drilling into the earth, the sound of steel against rock.

Each moment everything changes…..and yet, there is silence.

One Response to Lotus Heart

  1. Jayashri Fairclough says:

I love the juxtaposition of the quiet evening images with the bore-well drilling. Silence is always with us…holds the space for the bore-driller.
