Under the Banyan Tree

I’ll meet you under the banyan tree at sunset where silent roots grow,

where the villagers come to pray each day.

I’ll meet you when the sky glows fiery embers.

We can sit and trace a trajectory of love and peace with our fingers around the stars

as they appear one by one in the darkening sky.
