Hello Madam Squirrel
(please excuse if actually you are a Mister)
Yes, as you can see, today is feast day, a bon appetite day in the compost bin – a new delicacy for your sensitive taste buds – baked squash skins, imbued with a dash of butter and soy sauce. Of course, much of the meat has already been eaten, but there is plenty of yellow pith left to satisfy the gourmand.
Hmm…..what dexterous hands, able to turn the squash skin all the way around to remove the insides.
Ummm, er, excuse me Madam, no offense meant, but it seems your forays into the compost bin have added ampleness to your prior svelte form.
No, you say, just storing up for the winter? Of course!
Aaah, and a nice way to end a delicious meal, with a mug of herbal tea.
Did I hear you say thank you?
. . .
“If we had a keen vision of all that is ordinary in human life, it would be like hearing the grass grow or the squirrel’s heart beat, and we should die of that roar which is the other side of silence.”

Hello Dear, and thanks and hugs for the reblog and mention…….all the best in living simply so other can simply live…..peace, kai
YOur work always makes me smile and feel lighter. Thank you.
so sweet, thanks Kimberly, because I often wonder about continuing blogging………if there is any intention at all, it is to let something of the smiling heart flow…….
Cute! Looks like she’s pregnant!
Well, we were wondering…..could be…..
yes, our brains learn early to tone things down, and we soon learn to stop seeing, sensing and wondering 🙂
Tis so…..and when we finally wake up to the craziness – then the unlearning begins….so our hearts can rest in the Unknown…….xx
amen 🙂
